What if?

1. What if in 2012 I bought small truck and put a diesel engine in it and ran it on biodiesel and used veggie oil and maintained it myself for the 40 years (cost @.20 a mile X12, 000yr transportation total $2,400.00 year. But only have to drive 500 mile a month=$100.00)
2. What if in 2012 I bought an acre for $2,000.00 and put $7,500.00 in to materials to build a small passive solar eco friendly home and maintained it myself. (total cost to sewer, water, electric, cable, garbage, phone, taxes, Insurance and internet $200.00}
3. What if I took the $78.00 I was going to save and put it into a green house and garden and recycled everything and bartered extra veggies for meat and staples? (food 78.00 month)
4. What if I worked only enough to maintain that lifestyle (transportation $100.00. Housing $200.00, Food $78.00 month = $378.00 divided by min. wage $7.00 =54 hours a month or about 14 hrs a week and with a life partner additional $78.00 a month= $450.00 or 8 hours each week.)
5. What if I spent all this time living the American Dream, and realized it?
In life, no matter how rich you are, the only thing you cannot buy is more time!!!!

Saturday in March

I had a good day, changed the oil in K’s car and started the motorcycle. I left the motorcycle connected to the battery tender and took K’s car for a test drive.
I’ve been on a tare lately changing out the brake pads on the Chevy. Yesterday I got something I have always wanted, a wood chipper. Watch out I could be dangerous.
I’m thinking about getting a small chainsaw as well.
Once I have all these tools I’ll have no excuse not to clean out the fence row out by the road and turn it all into chips and firewood. Then I can move the stonewall fence back about twenty feet and re stack it so it looks sort of orderly.

So then there was a lady with a rooster.

This rooster acted like a dog. He followed her around and watched whatever she would do. He loved the attention that she gave him.
She also had two hens. The rooster he would visit these hens. Until one day first one hen and then the other went missing.
The neighbor had a couple hens. So the rooster he went visiting. The neighbor lady called and said ” I shooed your rooster away from my hens, and chased him down the driveway”.
The rooster he lived eight years. He was a good companion. Then one cold day he slipped quietly into the darkness.
He never did return and the lady she was sad to see him go.

The week in review

This week on my way into work I was stopped behind a school bus waiting for the kids to get on. At one house there must have been four or five kids but this one boy just sat on the steps. He was maybe eight years old or so. His sister came back off the bus and tried to get him to go on the bus, but he wouldn’t budge.
After a few minutes the mother came out and she talked to the boy as well, but still he was not going on the bus. No how no way.
Finally the mother takes him under the arms and picks him up. He is kicking and hollering the entire time. As she gets him to the bus door and trues to push him in he makes his escape.
Running down the yard behind the house and out of sight, we didn’t see him again. The mother finally gave up and waved the bus off.
We didn’t see him out front waiting for the bus for the rest of the week.

Blog moving

This BLOG has gone from being hosted in my basement on an Emachine off a cable modem to its present location on Google’s Blogspot. the primary difference is Blogspot is a lot less work than WordPress and also free.
I no longer have a cable modem or a basement so Blogspot is working great for me.
